Travel and experience
Extensive overseas travel provided many opportunities to visit and experience galleries and artworks by major artists and a collection of diaries and sketch books which would be used at a later date for the basis of major works.
Attended painting workshops with artists Patrick Carroll, Judith White, Frederick Bates and Charles Reid and etching with Max Miller.
Patricia combines an explosive colour palette to create original, inspired artworks. With stunning watercolour techniques and unique mixed-media effects, she transforms simple still life scenes and landscapes into modern abstract creations, seemingly bursting from their frames with pure colour.
Her work has found its way into homes and galleries around the world and she has received over 80 major awards both locally and nationally.
Pat is also a book illustrator and has illustrated two children’s books:
You, Me & The Rainbow, by Petrea King (Jane Curry Publishing, 2005)
The Rainbow Garden, by Petrea King and Deb Warren (Jane Curry Publishing, 2008)
She has lived by the ocean on the south coast which provided her with endless inspiration.
